ManifestSupport Program Coordinator
ManifestWorks is an immersive workforce development, job placement and ongoing support organization; we turn real-world experience into transformative employment opportunities for those impacted by foster care, homelessness, and incarceration.
We are looking to hire a program coordinator for our social services offerings. This is an amazing job for someone wanting to impact those in need of a meaningful opportunity in life.
The Support Program Coordinator is based in Los Angeles, and works both in person and remotely. Our Support Program Coordinator will provide operational support for our integrated life skills, case-management and therapeutic resources program for those we serve. It's an ideal position for someone who is both resourceful and understands the challenges for those coming from marginalized communities. The ideal candidate should hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from an accredited school of social work and have, at least, a current Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASCW) registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. We will provide supervision to the right candidate.
Because we are a small organization, we get to do a wide variety of creative and dynamic things, and for this position, we are looking for someone trained in trauma-informed care and brief therapeutic modalities with experience providing services for those impacted by homelessness, foster care and re-entry from incarceration. We prioritize candidates with strong advocacy skills, excellent clinical boundaries, a flexible mindset, leadership skills, and a track record of creating innovative programing and service delivery methods. Familiarity with telehealth, remote supervision and remote field-instruction is preferred. We also appreciate a demonstrated commitment to social justice, diversity and inclusion; lived experience is highly desired.
The leader will perform a crucial organizational role: (1) coordinate and manage Support services (deliver clinically sound protocols, conduct and improve clinical need/risk assessments, build strong mentorship relationships, provide individual therapy and crisis management including emergency grants); (2) help build innovative program elements and resource tools that integrate learning opportunities for participants and alumni consistent with our organizational mission and values; (3) monitor individual plans, as needed, to help participants navigate through resources associated with housing, parole, probation, documentation, etc. ensuring participants remain employment ready; (4) ensure all data is correctly captured, reviewed and tracked; (5) potentially coordinate interns and therapeutic volunteers;
(6) provide clinical oversight and share expertise across programs, collaborating with non-clinical staff, articulating clinical concepts and engendering buy-in; (7) and build and maintain relationships with schools, partner agencies and other providers.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate candidate who not only aligns with our mission and values, but who also wants to use their creativity and leadership to help build innovation, deliver results, and grow with us.
In the first week, expect to:
● Onboard and integrate into ManifestWorks.
● Meet the team, and observe organizational offerings, and learn the mission and delivery of our three programs.
● Familiarize yourself with our internal processes and tools.
● Attend your first staff meeting.
In the first month, expect to:
● Visit our PA and alumni programs.
● Spend time with your supervisor, your colleagues and participants and alumni to absorb program and position information.
● Build relationships with existing and new partners for service delivery and program internships.
● Step into the responsibilities and begin providing direct services.
● Begin to understand our data collection, Electronic Health Record and documentation systems.
In the first three months, expect to:
● Have a solid understanding of the role, the program and the delivery of services.
● Participate in strategic organizational planning.
● Attend and participate in a new participant interview and selection process.
● Support the team in new-candidate intake-interviews and needs assessment.
In the first six months, expect to:
● Share ideas for new program elements.
● Refine and innovate existing programs.
● Expand Manifest Supports resource library.
● Set personal and program goals eligible for merit pay and an annual bonus.
The ideal candidate will not be daunted by a wide range of duties, their timelines and the spinning plates outlined above in a two-person department with significant responsibilities. Attention to detail, flexibility, ownership of responsibilities and a deep commitment to professionalism define the work culture we teach at ManifestWorks; a strong candidate will have these attributes in spades.
We offer a competitive salary, generous benefits package, paid time-off and a learning environment with opportunities for growth. We also match the allowable maximum of IRA contribution. While our offices are in Hollywood, this position will exist both in person and virtually to optimize service delivery, your time and your well-being. We will need you to join our regular programming on most Saturdays and rare evenings; we offer flexibility in work hours to accommodate this schedule.
