ManifestWorks Application

Please carefully read these instructions before completing the application.

To be eligible for participation, we require those admitted:

  1. Be able to prove legal eligibility for work in the United States.

  2. Avoid any activities that undermine the high professional standards of ManifestWorks.

  3. Be impacted by homelessness, incarceration and/or foster care.

We are accepting applications. Once your application is completed, you will automatically be considered a candidate for acceptance. Our application deadline for the Winter 2025 cohort is January, 10, 2025.

Our application process involves a mandatory orientation and interview. If after committing to orientation or an interview and you don’t show, or you don’t get accepted, we ask that you reapply.

We decide who to admit based on our ability to train and place alumni into freelance employment in physical production in Hollywood. Our admissions team includes program staff, alumni and working Hollywood professionals, and this collective experience helps us determine those we are best able to help.

For those admitted, full-day classes are held every Saturday at locations throughout Los Angeles.

If you are accepted, and if you do well, our goal is to have you working as a freelance Production Assistant during the cohort and certainly after it. If there are legal or logistical circumstances that inhibit class participation or placement in work, or you are engaged in other full-time commitments (school, another jobs training program, a job you don't want to leave), it will limit your ability to take full advantage of ManifestWorks. Anyone unable to participate in ManifestWorks is welcome to reapply for a future cohort.

Because a driver’s license is required for many P.A. jobs, we highly recommend that participants either have a driver’s license or have a plan for obtaining one.

ManifestWorks is an equal opportunity organization. In accordance with applicable law, we prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex and gender, gender identity and gender expression, age, sexual orientation, Civil Air Patrol status, military and veteran status and any other consideration protected by federal, state or local law. Demographic information is used to track program impacts longitudinally and is not considered or shared in the admissions process.

For those applying to our programs, we review candidates’ applications and publicly available information to make a case-by-case assessment of each candidate prior to their acceptance into the program.
